Orbit — ADM QC Made Easy for Immersive Masters
Orbit is our macOS app for effortless ADM BWF playback and QC: 7.1.4 monitoring, binaural head tracking, 3D object visualisation, LUFS metering, and metadata-aware object inspection — without a Dolby Renderer or DAW.
Why Orbit
Delivering immersive mixes should not require a renderer, a DAW session, and a full studio to verify a single ADM file. Orbit plays and inspects ADM BWF masters directly on macOS, so engineers, producers, clients, and educators can QC quickly — anywhere.
- No renderer required: Drag-drop ADM BWF, hit play.
- Real monitoring: 7.1.4 output or high-quality binaural with head tracking.
- Visual confidence: 3D object positioning and naming to match ADM metadata.
- Delivery checks: ITU-R BS.1770 LUFS + True Peak metering, real-time waveforms.
Key Capabilities
- 7.1.4 monitoring with binaural and stereo fold-down for headphone checks.
- Object soloing, naming, and tracking to spot automation issues fast.
- 3D spatial visualisation using ADM ITU-R BS.2076 coordinates.
- Loudness metering (Integrated, Short-term, Momentary LUFS + True Peak).
- Head tracking (AirPods or camera-based) for accurate binaural cues.
- Native performance: SwiftUI UI with a C++ audio engine targeting 60 fps visualisation.
